After hearing strange noises coming from his cupboard, the student made a terrifying discovery about his dorm room.
A spooked college student has filmed some creepy goings on inside his dorm, which he believes is the ghost of a student who killed himself in the same room.
YouTube user Paddy C has posted eerie clips of his cupboard door opening by itself , as well as loud knocking coming from inside.
Posting his experience on Reddit’s No Sleep channel – which is dedicated to real life ghost stories – Paddy wrote: “My first night there, I’m hanging out with my roommate Rob.
“He’s playing some s*** on his PC, I’m playing on my PS4, we both have our headphones in. Suddenly we hear some slight knocking.
“I get up, open the door, nobody is outside, I immediately forget this happen [sic].”
He then claims the knocking grew louder and louder, until one night both men realised the noise wasn’t coming from the hall.
“It’s coming from my f***ing closet,” Paddy wrote. “I get up, put on my phone light, and timidly open the door.
“The thing creaks open to reveal, surprise, nobody is inside. What the f***, right?”
Paddy’s roomate did not return to college after the winer break, leaving the young student alone in Room 169.
The knocking grew louder, Paddy claimed, and sometimes he would wake up to find his closet door wide open.
After mentioning the strange goings on to a friend in the year above, who apparently revealed that a student had killed himself in Room 169 the previous year.
The story has since gone viral, with believers offering advice such as using holy water to chase out the demon, or simply leaving the closet door open so it can’t bang anymore.
But sceptics point to key points in the video, when Paddy turns the camera on himself before turning back towards the cupboard, which they believe proves there was a person making the noises before disappearing while off camera.
In a riposte to the doubters, Paddy films the moment the cupboard door flies open and he walks towards it in a single shot. There is no one to be seen.
In a piece to camera, the student – who says he’s got used to the ghost – is interrupted by the cupboard banging and tells it to “stop”.
